Chinese artist Heshan Huang cooperates with Web3Games and NEAR Protocol to sell NFTs at Alibaba-sponsored Taobao Maker Festival in Shanghai.
The 6th edition of the annual Taobao Maker Festival, an event celebrating Chinese art and entrepreneurship, is the first one to include Real Estate NFTs in its lineup.
Artist Heshan Huang worked with Web3Games and NEAR Protocol to create hundreds of virtual buildings in Bu Tu Garden, including luxury single-family villas, high-end units, and much more.
“I ORIGINALLY THOUGHT THAT THE CONCEPTS OF BLOCKCHAIN AND NFT WOULD BE VERY COMPLICATED, AND IT WOULD BE VERY TROUBLESOME TO OPERATE, BUT THE RESULT WAS UNEXPECTED.”
Heshan Huang
Bu Tu Garden is only one part of the so-called ‘Toorich City Series’, Huang’s first complete NFT collection. The collection is centered on the fictional character of Mr. Toorich, a real-estate tycoon who has dedicated himself to building housing projects for the poor.
All NFTs in Bu Tu Garden will be eligible for purchase through Taobao’s website using Chinese renminbi. Further buyers will need to register a NEAR wallet to claim their NFT digital art.
